The role of digital marketing is absolutely essential for today’s growing SMEs. Not only does it expose your business to a wider audience who are searching for your products and services online, it will also help you stand out from the competition.
Many businesses are choosing to grow digital talent from within their organisation, rather than recruit new (already qualified) staff or outsource the work to a digital marketing agency. Our Digital Marketing Apprenticeship training course is ideal for administrative staff or those working at junior level in marketing, who are interested in expanding their skill set into digital marketing and/or looking for a new challenge within your organisation.
What training courses do you offer?
We provide a Level 3 Digital Marketing Apprenticeship which is a 15 month course that can be taken during full time employment. Learners should dedicate 20% of their time for on the job training and attend a mix of webinars and classroom sessions. At the end of the 15 months they will complete an end point assessment including a project, an interview and an employer reference.
What does the course cover?
The course covers all the principles of digital marketing, including market segmentation and how to write a marketing plan, as well as learning essential digital marketing tactics such as SEO, Google Adwords, Social Media, Email and Content Marketing.
What qualifications will they get?
They will receive:
- Digital Marketer Level 3 Standard
- Award in Principles of Coding
- Google Analytics IQ
- DOT Native Certification
- Certificate in Principles of Marketing or Certificate in Digital Marketing
- CIW Social Media Strategist or Adobe Photoshop Certificate
What benefits will my business see as a result of the training?
Your digital marketing apprentice will be able to implement the skills they have learnt directly to your business. If you have an existing marketing team, they could join the team as a Digital Marketing Assistant or Social Media Executive and be delegated tasks from your Marketing Manager. If you don’t have an existing marketing team, they will still be able to carry out digital marketing activities for your organisation confidently.
There are also several benefits to upskilling your staff: They are more likely to stay longer with the company because they feel motivated and challenged having learnt new skills, and it costs far more to recruit new talent than it is to nurture existing.
How much does the course cost?
If you are a levy paying organisation (payroll of £3m+ per annum) you can fund the course through your apprenticeship levy. If you are not a levy paying organisation, you only need to contribute 5% of the cost of the training, which is £550 as the government will co-invest the rest.
So now you understand the benefits of upskilling your staff in digital marketing and how cost effective this is for your organisation to implement, why not contact our training team who will help advise on how to get started and put together a tailored training package for your business.
