Duration: 13 Months

Entry requirements: To be eligible for this course, you would ideally have at least 5 GCSE's (grade A* to C/9 to 5) or equivalent. This must include Maths and English. You must also already be working in a position where you manage a team or project.

The Team Leader Apprenticeship has been designed for learners currently working in or progressing  into a supervision/team leading role.

Usual responsibilities for someone looking to complete this qualification are: supporting, managing and developing team members, managing projects, planning and monitoring workloads and resources, delivering operational plans, resolving problems and building relationships internally and externally.

Our Team Leader/Supervisor Apprenticeship lasts for 13 months and is made up of 11 modules that will cover the totality of the standards. These will be delivered through online and physical visits throughout the first 12 months of the qualification. During the first 12 months of the course, learners will develop a portfolio of their best work and complete 3 large activities as evidence for the qualification.

After 12 Months, learners will be entered into their End Point After 12 Months, learners will be entered into their End Point Assessment. At this stage they will submit their portfolio, complete a multiple choice exam, have a professional discussion and participate in a structured interview covering the knowledge within the standard.


Apprentix is an e-learning and e-portfolio management system that has grown from over 15 years’ experience in creative apprenticeship and e-learning delivery for some of the UK’s most prominent employers, Apprentix has been designed to be the only ‘all in one’ apprenticeship system, which is uniquely supplied with +200 hours of high quality online learning for each standard Learners will have access to a variety of online learning that has been designed to give them all of the essential knowledge they need to become a specialist within Digital Marketing. All apprentices will have access to all the e-learning course on the system free of charge in addition to the courses built into the apprenticeship package. the apprenticeship package. These can be allocated anywhere throughout the course to meet you business needs, saving you time and money

Tutor Support

The apprentice will receive regular tutor support throughout their qualification. A blended learning approach will be used. They will have monthly face to face visits and webinars alongside regular email and phone contact. The resources on Apprentix have been designed to run in conjunction with the sessions, allowing the learner to research and review each topic with ease.


This qualification is government funded and falls under the new Apprenticeship Levy Scheme. Our Team Leader qualification requires a 10% employer contribution. Total cost of training is £4,500. The employer is required to fund 10% of this equating to £450.

Business that have less than 50 employees won’t pay anything if they employ apprentices under the age of 19, and will receive a £1000 incentive payment. This will be discussed during the initial engagement to determine eligibility.

Managing People

Covering the knowledge, skills and behaviours in relation to managing people, exploring areas such as management models, team dynamics and motivation, HR systems, legal requirements, performance management and review, appraisals, absence management, feedback and recognising achievement and good behaviour.

Building Relationships

Covering the knowledge, skills and behaviours in relation to building relationships, exploring areas such as customer and stakeholder relationships, emotional intelligence, managing conflict, cross team working to meet organisational objectives, negotiation and influencing skills and sharing good practice.


Covering the knowledge, skills and behaviours in relation to communication, exploring areas such as the different forms of communication and their application, chairing meetings, holding challenging conversations, active listening and providing constructive feedback

Operation Management

Covering the knowledge, skills and behaviours in relation to operational management, exploring areas such as organisational strategy, including communication and delivery, action planning and monitoring outcomes, managing resources, managing change, collecting and analysing data and the use of technology.

Project Management


Covering the knowledge, skills and behaviours inrelation to project management, exploring areas such as project lifecycles and roles, managing resources, monitoring progress, identifying risks and issues, project management tools and successful project delivery.



Covering the knowledge, skills and behaviours in relation to finance, exploring areas such as organisational governance and compliance, delivering value for money and monitoring budgets.

Awareness of Self

Covering knowledge, skills and behaviours in relation to having an awareness of your own attitude, learning and behaviour, exploring areas such as unconscious bias, inclusivity, learning styles,feedback mechanisms and emotional intelligence.

Management of Self

Covering the knowledge, skills and behaviours in relation to managing your responsibilities, duties and development, exploring areas such as time management techniques and tools, prioritising and planning activities, personal development planning and workload management.

Decision Making

Covering the knowledge, skills and behaviours in relation to decision-making, exploring areas such as effective problem-solving, analysing data to support decision-making and the escalation of issues.


Covering your behaviour in relation to your role as a team leader/supervisor, exploring areas such as taking responsibility, adopting an inclusive approach, flexibility, innovation and professionalism.
