Whatever industry you are in, digital marketing is essential for business growth today and training your staff in this area is one of the best investments your company can make. Yet despite the growing demand for relevant digital marketing skills across industries, the number of professionals with the right digital know-how is in decline. According to the Digital Marketing Institute Report, 69% of UK marketing professionals feel they need to improve their digital marketing skills to remain competent in their role in the future.
While there are many ways for your staff to learn digital marketing, apprenticeship training is both resource and cost efficient for your business because your staff are able to continue with their role and dedicate just 20% of their time to the training. They can also apply their newly learnt skills to your business as they complete each module, so you will reap the benefits of their training quickly.

The usual cost of the course is £11,000 but you will only need to pay 5% of this (£550) and the government meets the remaining balance.
If your payroll bill exceeds £3 million, the course can be funded through your Apprenticeship Levy.
Digital marketing training to support your agency
Even if your company has external marketing support, it makes sense to upskill your current staff in this area to support the work they are doing and reduce some of the costs by carrying out some activity internally.
Staff progression and retention
Investing in your staff’s training and development can allow them to take on more responsibility, keep them motivated so they are less likely to look elsewhere when considering future career prospects.
