Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship Level 2
The Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship Level 2 is a course designed for care homes and care services who wish to give new hires the essential experience and training they need to deliver higher standards of care. This course is also ideal for staff who wish to cement their skills with a qualification.

Who is the Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship Level 2 For?
The Adult Care Worker Level 2 Apprenticeship has been designed to develop your employees’ existing care skills and equip them with the expertise to make a positive difference to someone’s life when they are faced with physical, practical, social, emotional or intellectual challenges.
The care industry is a dynamic world with unique challenges, and this qualification enables managers to ensure their staff are delivering to exacting standards.
What Does The Course Cover?
This apprenticeship programme gives your employees the confidence, skills, knowledge and behaviours to deliver first class care across a range of care and health and social care settings.
Course outline:
- Adopting the right values and behaviours to provide high quality compassionate care and support
- Safeguarding & protection in care settings
- How to promote health and wellbeing for the individuals they support
- Ensure dignity is at the centre of all work with the individuals they support, their families, carers and advocates
Key Information Regarding This Apprenticeship
Course Cost
This qualification is government funded and falls under the Apprenticeship Levy Scheme. For non-levy paying organisations, it requires a 5% employer contribution.
Course cost: £4,000
Employer contribution: 5% (£200)
Business that have less than 50 employees won’t pay anything if they employ apprentices under the age of 19, and will receive a £1000 incentive payment. This will be discussed during the initial engagement to determine eligibility.

Level 2 Diploma in Care
Entry Requirements
Learners will need to meet the following requirements:
- 16 years of age or older
- Work ready
- Interested in developing a career in Health and Social Care
Course Duration
This course will last 12 months and is delivered during normal working hours. Training can be flexible to meet the needs of your organisation. We use a blend of online, webinar and practical sessions, and the apprentice will receive regular 1-1 sessions and support from their tutor.
