How to score yourself: For each criterion, select the level that best describes your current knowledge, skills, and experience. Be honest - your assessor will validate any claims with evidence.
Level 1 - No Knowledge (0-2 out of 10): No prior knowledge or only basic awareness; full learning required.
Level 2 - Limited Awareness (3-4 out of 10): Some exposure but no practical competence; full learning still required.
Level 3 - Developing Knowledge (5-6 out of 10): Some transferable understanding but still requires full OTJ learning for consistency.
Level 4 - Partial Competence (7-8 out of 10): Solid understanding and partial independence; a small proportion may be credited through RPL.
Level 5 - Fully Competent (9-10 out of 10): Advanced and consistent competence; this topic can be fully credited through RPL.

This RPL self-assessment is indicative only. Final RPL decisions must be made and documented by a qualified assessor or training provider, in line with ESFA Apprenticeship Funding Rules (2024/25). This document should be retained for a minimum of 3 years for audit purposes.
