Job Title:  Marketing & Publicity Apprenticeship

Salary Rate: £18,695 p.a. (pro rata, based on 37.5 hours per week)

Hours: 30 hours per week

Period of Contract: Fixed term until 30th June 2023

Office Base: Hyde Healthy Living Centre, 20 Great Norbury St, Hyde,
SK14 1BR (We also operate flexible working)

Responsible to: Chief Officer

 

Main Purpose of Job

To lead on all aspects of Marketing and Publicity for Diversity Matters North West promoting the activities of the Charity and ensuring the effective and timely dissemination of information about the organisation’s work to the wider community. 

The successful post-holder will act as marketing and publicity advocate within our staff team and will be enrolled on to a Digital marketing Level 3 Apprenticeship. 

 

Main Tasks

Communication

  1. To maintain a thorough knowledge of all current activities.
  2. To build positive relationships with all stakeholders who have an interest in our work, fielding enquiries and supplying information face-to-face, by telephone, post and by e-mail.  
  3. To utilise a database for communication
  4. To lead on the design and production of information materials
  5. To maintain current information on local communications media (initial briefings will be given) and ensure effective and timely collation and dissemination of information about the organisation’s activities through local press and media.

 

Website and social media

  1. To manage and update the organisation’s website, making improvements as required 
  2. To act as the organisation’s main point of contact on website and social media issues
  3. To gather information about the organisation’s activities from the staff team and post this promptly on the organisation’s web site.
  4. Manage and update social media accounts to maximise our reach to different community groups
  5. Lead on digital fundraising.

 

General

  1. To work collaboratively as a member of the DMNW team.
  2. To carry out any other duties commensurate with the responsibilities of the post that may reasonably be required.

The successful candidate will be enrolled on to a Digital Marketing Level 3 Apprenticeship and will learn how to:

  • Create marketing campaigns
  • Define market segments
  • Create social ads
  • Create AdWords campaigns
  • Email marketing campaigns
  • Develop outstanding content for business
  • Analyse and Evaluate campaigns
  • Web Design
  • Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
  • Blogging
  • Content Marketing
  • Social Media Marketing

 

They will also learn the principles of coding, an ideal introduction to web design and development.

After the 15 months, the apprentice will be awarded with:

  • Digital Marketer Level 3 Standard
  • Certificate in Principles of Marketing or Certificate in Digital Marketing
  • Award in Principles of Coding
  • Google Analytics IQ
  • DOT Native Certification
  • CIW Social Media Strategist or Adobe Photoshop Certificate
  • Level 2 Functional Skills Maths*
  • Level 2 Functional Skills English*
