A fantastic opportunity has arisen in an exciting Public and Trade auction house based in Clayton-Le-Moors, Accrington with easy links to the M65/M66 motorways and 45 mins by car from central Manchester. We work closely with the UK’s biggest retailers and manufacturers to bring a real assortment of stocks to auction. Our customers are the general public buying for themselves and traders buying to sell on for profit.

Due to our continued growth as a business we are now looking to recruit a Business Administration Apprentice to join the team at the Clayton Le Moor auction house offices.

This exciting role will include;

  • General administration duties
  • Covering In and outbound calls
  • Raising credit notes
  • Editing invoices
  • General printing duties
  • Dealing with customers face to face
  • Dealing with emails
  • Emailing and sorting quotes
  • Answering live chat on company website
  • Taking payments via card, cash and over the phone
  • Assisting with cashing up at the end of the day
  • Data entry
  • Liaising with warehouse staff to ensure inquiries are dealt with and customers are kept updated
  • Keeping customers updated and informed at all staged of the auction and purchasing experience

Whilst working as a Business Administration apprentice you will be receiving full training, working toward the successful completion of the Business Administration Level 2 qualification.

Working week

Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm

35 hours a week

Wage

£4.92 an hour (£172.20 a week)

Future Prospects

The potential exists for this role to develop into a full time employed position for the right candidate upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.

What does the Apprenticeship Cover?

The course lasts 12 months. During this time the learner will be expected to complete their Level 2 Business Administration Diploma (RQF) Throughout the qualification, the Apprentice will receive regular 1-1 sessions and support from their Tutor.

Topics covered include communication in a business environment, principles of business

document production and information management, managing personal performance and

development, preparing text from notes using touch typing, maintaining and issuing

stationery and supplies, administering the recruitment and selection process and contributing to the development and implementation of an information system.

Learners will complete training and activities to cover the mandatory units below. These are completed through workbooks, practical sessions, observations and professional

discussions. Learners will then complete optional units dependant on their job role.

Unit 2: Principles of providing administrative services

Unit 3: Principles of business document production and information management

Unit 4: Understand employer organisations

Unit 5: Manage personal performance and development

Unit 5: Develop working relationships with colleagues

Any person that comes onto our apprenticeship programmes will in addition to the apprenticeship qualification have access to over 500 e-learning courses which you will gain certification for any undertaken. These are optional and not a requirement of the apprenticeship programme and totally free of charge.
