Who is this course for?

The Business Improvement Techniques Level 3 training programme is for employees who are wishing to increase their level of understanding of business improvement techniques and develop their knowledge of different business processes.

It complements existing skills and qualifications and encourages practices that can maximise profit by eliminating waste, improving workflow and reducing cost and variation.

The course is designed for those learners who are currently applying business improvement techniques and contributing to quality and process improvements in the workplace. Those employed as supervisors, team leaders or facilitators and who are responsible for carrying out business improvement activities. It is also suitable for employees through continuous professional development who are being prepared to take on more responsibilities in a business improvement environment.

What does the course cover?

Upon completion of this course, the employee will have the appropriate skills, knowledge and behaviours to ensure that business processes are planned and executed as efficiently as possible. They will be able to identify and minimise waste as well as assisting with, improving and developing lean skills across the wider workforce.

Course Duration

The duration of this apprenticeship is 15 months and is made up of 2 mandatory units and 2 optional pathways.

TUTOR SUPPORT


The apprentice will receive regular tutor support throughout their qualification. A blended learning approach will be used. They will have monthly face-face visits and webinars alongside regular email and phone contact. The resources on Apprentix have been designed to run in conjunction with the sessions, allowing the learner to research and review each topic with ease.

FUNDING OPTIONS


This qualification is government funded and falls under the new Apprenticeship Levy Scheme. Our BIT qualification requires a 5% employer contribution. Total cost of training is £4,000. The employer is required to fund 5% of this equating to £200.

Business that have less than 50 employees won’t pay anything if they employ apprentices under the age of 19, and will receive a £1000 incentive payment. This will be discussed during the initial engagement to determine eligibility.
