How Does The Apprenticeship Incentive Grant Work?
£3,000
Get £3,000 for every single apprentice you take on between now and January 31st 2022. The grant is cash from the government and is paid directly in to your bank account.
Your new apprentice can be any age, and there’s no limit to how many apprentices you can hire to claim the grant.
The grant is paid in two instalments, £1,500 3 months into your hire’s apprenticeship, and £1,500 12 months into their apprenticeship.

You can claim an extra £1,000 on top of the original £3,000 grant if your apprentice is aged 16-18, and you have less than 50 employees.
You can also claim this £1,000 extra grant if your apprentice is under 25 with an Education, Health and Care Plan.

When Will The Apprenticeship Incentive Grant Be Paid Out?
The grant is paid in two instalments. You will receive half of the grant once your apprentice has been with you for 3 months, and the remaining half once your apprentice has been with you for 12 months.

The funds will be sent directly to your bank account.
How Does It Work? Is The Process Difficult?
It couldn’t be easier if you work with us at NTG Training. We’ll conduct an initial, in depth consultation with you to better understand your business and its goals.
Once we’re confident we know what you’re looking for, we’ll use our in-house recruitment experts to advertise your position and find you the best apprenticeship candidate. We’ve been doing this for over a decade, so we have an excellent eye for selecting the best.
We’ll then allow you to make the final decision, and before you know it you’ll have a brand new team member. The apprenticeship grant payments will follow shortly thereafter, as we’ll have completed all the paper work and admin on your behalf.
Will All Businesses Be Eligible for Funding?
Absolutely. There are no limitations on which businesses can receive this grant. If it’s your first ever employee, we’ll help to advise you what you need in place to take on your apprentice legally and compliantly.
The grant is even eligible for larger businesses – including if you pay the Apprenticeships Levy.
Is There A Limit To The Number of Grants I Can Claim?
You’ll get up to £4,000 for every single apprentice your business takes on. There’s no upper limit to what you can receive if your business is based in England, making this a fantastic time to build your workforce.
